The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Autograph Collection, hotel in Kuala Lumpur

The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Autograph Collection offers accommodations featuring modern colonial-style décor and Neo-Classical details.

Breakfast wasoutstanding with three distinct stations - eastern, western and a mix. Room was very spacious as we were upgraded to a suite. Bathroom was more than adequate with a very good shower. Views were also excellent. There is a natural colonial charm. The piano bar exemplified this. It was well located and on the relative doorstep of the National Mosque, Chinatown and the Central Market. We also walked to Merdeka Square. Hotel organised very reasonably priced Grab taxis.

The Happening Hub of South East Asia

Climb to astonishing heights amidst the skyscrapers of Kuala Lumpur. Look up at the Petronas Towers and, if you’re feeling fit, participate in one of the foot races to the top of the Kuala Lumpur Tower. When you descend the mixture of cultures that make up this vibrant city will greet you.

The capital of Malaysia offers a colourful array of cultures, cuisines and shopping opportunities. Kuala Lumpur’s diversity is on centre stage in China town’s Petaling Street, the food stalls on Jalan Alor, the history of Merdeka Square and the temples and mosques scattered throughout the city.

As the temperature soars in the year-round heat, find refuge in the manicured greenery of the Lake Gardens. Air-conditioning offers more comfort in the famous shopping malls including the Suria KLCC, where anyone can find the perfect gift or momento.

If you’re travelling in South East Asia, there’s a good chance you’ll fly into Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Within 30 minutes you can be in the heart of a city which offers every type of accommodation from spas to budget rooms, 5-star hotels to dormitories. We enjoyed a guided tour to see the history, Petronas Towers (very reasonable) and the restaurants. We did not shop. We ate very well in the evening which tended to be international restaurants - I feel that we missed out on some of the more local cooking in and around Chinatown but my wife was put off by the reviews. I can recommend Ian Yeow of Guruwalks as a guide +60 17-600 2503.

There's a lot more to KL than a glitzy skyline.

There's a lot more to KL than a glitzy skyline. Food and city travel offer high quality and great value (download the Grab taxi app). A good city to walk in. A walking tour with David Tan of Guru Tours gave us glimpses into KL's past and present, as well as hints of the future. It is a suprisingly green city - citizens and authorities seem to love their trees. Shiny contemporary skyscrapers live comfortably alongside old structures that seem to be in no danger of disappearing - the casual visitor could be wrong. Some of the new buildings are beautiful, with clever incorporation of Islamic motifs, though the broad strategy of the town planners is a bit mystifying. A lack of stress in the way people negotiate their city belies its primary commercial focus. Our best experience in KL was the Museum of Islamic Art which was exhibiting contemporary explorations of Arabic calligraphy. An exhibition worth visiting KL for - check out how liberating calligraphy from conventional rules unleashed a storm of immersive art.

Kuala Lumpur is nice city and very well connected with Metro and Mono and bus service. We could not able to use bus service as it required (compulsory touch-n-go card which we don't wanted to buy as its bloking your some money and for each traveller we need to buy it). We find challen for vegitarian people as there is hardly any option for vegitarian to eat in kuala lumpur but for other its heaven. We did most of our booking on klook and booking.com which were very smooth and hassle free. you can use your internation debit or credit card for transaction at most of places (again if you refill your touch n go card then that will also very handy)

Loved my trip to Kuala Lumpur - the city was vibrant and easy to navigate. The public transport system was very useful to get around and the rail link between the airport and KL Sentral station was super handy. I would recommend travellers to stay in the Bukit Bintang area to be close to the shopping malls and plenty of eateries.

We were travelling as a large family of 7 and wanted a mixture of experiences, we opted to use the hop on and off to get a feel for the city and the made some decisions on what we wanted to see, that was helpful. Top highlights - KL Bird Park, Time Square Mall, Batu Cave, Kanching Rainforest Waterfall. We didn’t bother to figure out the public transport, with having the kids with us it was much easier to just take taxi’s to places and still very affordable. For the majority of our trip we stayed at Traders Hotel, this was brilliant, perfect for the family, great facilities, and close to KLCC. We had some flights changes which meant we had to extend our stay for an extra couple of days, to make it a little more affordable we moved accommodation towards the end of our trip to be closer to China town and the markets and experience that part of KL, in the end we regretted that decision, that side of the city is not great for kids, it’s pretty rough and feels more like a backpackers / young adult scene. We still enjoyed exploring the markets but it wasn’t great for the kids. We discovered that Time Square Mall had very similar stalls in its upper levels and a whole lot more things for the kids to do in the Theme Park so that was a better experience. Over all some great adventures were had and we loved most of our time in Kuala Lumpur.

    Everything was great.

Everything was great. People are friendly and always willing to help and give directions. I didn't speak Bahasa malaysia for almost 40 years and the people I asked for help managed to direct me back to the hotel on Tuesday night. The night the tree felled. Taxis and grabs were not running and the only back from Sungai Wang was to walk. People on the streets were telling me how and where to go. I do thank the 2 BMW mechanics who directed me back to the hotel. Food was cheap and the exchange rate was excellent. I found that night hours were safer than many towns in north America.

Very, very impressive luxury building in central location right next to the brand new LaLaPort mall which features plenty of cool restaurants & shops. The infinity rooftop pool with superb view on the Petronas Towers is simply stunning, and so is the architecture & design of the flat & building which can compete with 5 star hotels. Most highly recommended spot and kind host who was also kind enough with my late arrival caused by an unanticipated 2-hour long queuing at passport control at the airport !

    - Convenient location, 5min walk to the back of Fahrenheit (go out of the hotel, turn right and right again). There's an underpass to Pavilion from Fahrenheit. - Helpful concierge team who assisted us with our massage appointment and advised us on the best route to airport. - Great facilities, saw many Singaporeans were wondering around the hotel to check out the facilities. - Away from the busy road of Bukit Bintang, hence there is a shortcut to the expressway to KLIA.

This was an excellent hotel to stay in KL. It’s a straight shot from the airport to KL Sentral, and the station adjoins a shopping mall and the hotel. The room was huge, and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing with a huge variety of foods. The rooftop pool was also really cool. Download the Grab app to get around and/or take the trains. Location was fab Staff, in particular the doormen were wonderful, so kind and treated me like I was a VIP all the time, very special No toiletries freely available in the bathroom. Instead the shampoo and conditioner are fixed to the wall in the shower, so if you want some for your bath you have to pump some out into a cup. This is normal in budget hotels but not expected in a 5 star.
